Heidi and Alexis Hatch performed Concerto for Two Violins by Bach accompanied by the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra at the Feb. 26 concert.

At their first concert of 2017 the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, conducted by David Newby, hosted sister violin virtuosos Alexis and Heidi Hatch. Their father Peter Hatch, also an accomplished musician, sat in with the string section.

As usual, the Feb. 26 free concert was held at Country Oaks Baptist Church where the large space and acoustics enhance the orchestral experience.

The Symphony's next performance is Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Country Oaks Baptist Church, loacted at 20915 Schout Rd. in Tehachapi, which will feature:

• Brahms, Schicksalslied ("Song of Destiny") Op. 54

• Brahms, Symphony No. 3 in F Major, Op. 90

• The Young Artist competition winner will be playing a concerto of his/her choosing.
