In 2016 Tehachapi's main street area was filled with Valentine's wine and chocolate lovers. Organized by "Main Street Tehachapi" the event was in its ninth year and had an estimated 700 attendees at 23 local sampling sites.
The 10th Annual Valentines Wine Walk and Chocolate Tasting, sponsored by Main Street Tehachapi, is scheduled for Saturday, February 11 from 6 to 9 p.m.. It's the perfect time to join friends and sweethearts at the most romantic time of the year for a fun evening and a stroll around Downtown Tehachapi. The nearly 20 host businesses will all provide appetizers, so you can make an evening of it.
The selection of wines includes a wide range of whites, reds, dessert, and sparkling wines that will be perfectly paired to compliment the chocolates made by Linda's Cakes and Things. The chocolates will range from sweet, to semisweet and dark, and will be flavored with fruit, nuts and other flavorings. Linda's chocolate truffles have been featured at past Valentine's Wine Walks and are always a big hit.
Tickets are $30 each in advance, and $35 on the day of the event. Advance tickets may be purchased online at www. MainStreetTehachapi.org. In addition, they may be purchased at the following locations: Tehachapi Visitor Center, Sheridan's Boutique Home Consignment, Get Dressed Boutique, Dressing Room, Dahlia's, Tehachapi Flower Shop, and the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce. Cash or checks are accepted at all locations. You can pay by credit card at the Chamber office or on the website. On the day of the event we can only accept cash or checks.
This is always a great event. It is a good idea to purchase your tickets early as the event sold out last year and we don't want to have to turn anyone away.
