No reservations necessary.

Open Studios

Open Studios at the Treasure Trove do not require reservations – you can come and be inspired to do your best work (or play!) in our comfortable and creative environment and share ideas with other artists and crafters. No teachers will be available during open studios. Come any time the store is open and classes are not using the entire room. Three hour Open Studio sessions are available for $5. Come on over and get busy being creative!

Classes

Reservations for all classes with a deposit must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class. Students may bring their own supplies for classes or purchase supplies at the Treasure Trove. Monday mornings 10 to 12 p.m. - Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain with Lucinda Thomas for $15 per session. Students will learn basic drawing techniques using the "Right Side of The Brain" approach. New students are welcome on any class date. Supplies are newsprint, sketch book, assortment of sketching pencils.

Monday afternoons from 1 to 3 or 4 p.m. – Kids Classes with Lucinda Thomas for $15 a session plus supplies. A variety of different media and subjects available. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Classes will include: Drawing, Clay, Painting, Sculpey, Soap Stone, Macramé, Origami, String art, Lettering and more. Reservations and payment for all classes required 48 hours before the scheduled class. Please call the Treasure Trove for additional information.

Tuesday afternoons, 3 to 5 p.m. -

Earth Clay with Gloria Moore for $25 per class plus clay and firing charge. A weekly open workshop to explore various methods of working with earth based clay.

Wednesday mornings 10 to 2 p.m. Adventures in Painting with Juanita Niemeyer. A workshop for artists. Bring your own project or work on a project supplied by the teacher. Juanita is an experienced art teacher and can help with techniques for whatever you want to paint. Paint on canvas, wood, glass, paper or ceramic bisque. $20 per session (not including materials). A variety of materials are available for sale at the Treasure Trove. Come any Wednesday and experience your creativity. Please bring lunch. Lunch break will be half an hour.

Dec. 3, Saturday afternoon from 1:15 to 4:30 p.m. – Fiber Arts with Karen Stevens for $15 per session. Need help getting started or completing a project? Bring your project or idea to class and let Karen help you get going. Come once or every week. Beginners – Karen will teach you the basics. Projects may include Knitting, Crocheting, Cross Stitch, Needle Point, Tatting and Embroidery.

Dec. 4, Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. Petite Painting for the Holidays – Santa with Juanita Niemeyer for $20 plus supplies. Students will paint 5"x 7" canvas board using acrylic paints. The finished painting will make a fun card or gift.

Dec. 10, Saturday morning from 10 to 1 p.m. – Dream Catcher Weaving with Susanna Monette for $20 plus materials. Each student will learn to weave a small dream catcher embellished with beads, leather and feathers. Teacher will supply frame sinew, some beads and feathers. Students are welcome to bring other embellishments or purchase them at the Treasure Trove.

Dec. 10, Saturday afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. – Bead Loom Weaving with Susanna Monette for $20 plus materials. Each student will learn to weave beautiful designs on a bead loom. Required supplies: 300 Beads, a beading loom, nymo beading thread, beading needles, and scissors.

Dec. 11, Sunday afternoon from 12 to 4 p.m. – Polymer Clay Petal Cane with Cathy Clark for $30 Plus Materials. This class will focus on the Technique of building a polymer clay cane, how to reduce, shape and slice the cane to create a flower focal for many applications in jewelry and home decor. All skill levels are welcome.

Dec. 17, Saturday morning from 10 to noon, Iris Paper Folding –Winter Holidays with Janet Meabon for $20. Class price includes materials to make one card. Learn to make sensational cards with folded paper. Create a special Greeting. The class price includes materials to make one card. Materials for additional cards will be available for $5.

Dec. 17, Saturday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. – Jewelry Making with Dawn Callahan for $25 Plus Materials. Learn beading and jewelry making basics: Create your own necklace and earrings.
