What's Up in Stallion Springs?

The Stallion Springs Police Department recently took delivery of two new police cars. The cars are 2016 Ford Explorer Police Interceptors fully outfitted for police duty. In addition to the standard equipment they have washable rear seats to help with clean up from the occasional sick person arrested and a protective cage for officer safety. The cars have been equipped with new radios, obtained with funds from a grant.

Neighborhood Watch, with proceeds from America's Night Out and a donation from the Property Owners Association, purchased two Automatic Electronic Defibrillators for the cars. The Officers, CSU team and several CERT members have been trained on their use.

The new cars will be used for patrol. The old cars, all 10 years old or more, were standard Ford Explorers with radios and roof light bars, not really meant for police duty. These cars will be refurbished and used by the Police Chief and the Community Service Unit.
