St Vincent walk for the poor.
Last year St. Vincent de Paul, St. Malachy Conference assisted 3,361 Tehachapi individuals with food, rent, utility bills, clothing vouchers, transportation and aid referrals. Our volunteers worked 3,361 hours. If you have 2-3 hours of your time per month to work in our pantry you are most welcome and you need not be Catholic.
We are there for the express purpose of helping those less fortunate no matter their religion or even if they are non believers. Your participation in our International Walk for the Poor on Sept. 24 at 8 a.m. is most welcome; we will meet in the Church parking lot.
Contact can be made to volunteer by calling (661)822-1920. If you are not able to attend the walk and would like to contribute to this much needed cause, checks can be made as seen below. We are not part of the SVdP thrift store here in town.
