TMRA Junior Rodeo 2016 Season Has Begun

Up and coming cowboys and cowgirls watch as fellow Pee Wee division ( 6 years and under) Stick Pony contestants get their turns.

The 2016 Tehachapi Rodeo season kicked off June 4 and 5 for young cowboy and cowgirl competitors in the newly named Milano Arena at the Tehachapi Rodeo Grounds and Event Center.

There are five scheduled Junior Rodeo events this year. Last weekend's events counted for two. Along with these fine athletes, parents stand beside the competitors working long, hard hours leading up their child's competition.

These young athletes follow the Western Heritage that sets the stage for tomorrow's professional rodeo cowboys and girls.

The next Jr. Rodeo will be held the weekend of July 30 and 31.
