"Genuine Mountain Style, Best by a Country Mile" is the theme for the 2016 Tehachapi Mountain Festival® being held August 19-21. Congratulations to Dan Mahler, the winner of this year's Mountain Festival Theme Contest.
Dan not only submitted the winning theme, he included a sketch that he felt portrayed the theme. The Mountain Festival Committee agreed and the sketch was sent on to Ray Friesen at 'hachapi Tees who turned the sketch into this year's amazing artwork.
Presenting the check to Dan is Mountain Festival Chairman Carl Gehricke. Dan and his family will be our VIP guest to all events during Mountain Festival, including participation in the parade, tickets to the rodeo and pancake breakfast, and an Official Tehachapi Mountain Festival® T-shirt featuring his winning theme.
The Mountain Festival theme sets the tone for the entire Mountain Festival. Once the theme is established the logo can be designed. Parade floats are planned based on the theme. The official Mountain Festival t-shirts, posters, brochures, and all advertising bear the official logo.
