The first time I heard the "make like a tree and leave" I thought she said "leaf." It conjures up all kinds of thoughts. The first thought was "What the?" and the second was, "It is spring and I guess she wants people to get into the spring renewal, as in leaves populating the previously barren limbs." I know-I was over thinking this but I was a teenager. Over the years I have thought of that saying every spring as I welcome my numerous shade and fruit trees back from their slumber.
I am so happy that we, at Pioneer True Value, have a great reputation for the survival rate of our trees, shrubs and pony packs. I am especially proud to tell you that our trees have done so well because they have cold hardy root stock. Unlike most trees sold elsewhere that are grown in fair weather areas along the coast where the coldest day may require a light sweater, our trees are grown under the same weather conditions we deal with here in Tehachapi. We also have all the information and products to enhance the outcome. We have wire baskets to discourage gophers, sonic devises to scare away squirrels, and netting and mylar to scare away pesky fruit-eating birds. Plus we have all the amendments you need to give them a good start. New trees and plants are in stock today!
Speaking of soil amendments, we now have a planter mix that we sell by the skip. This is for areas and raised beds that you want to directly plant into.
