What's up in Stallion Springs?

 


Stallion Springs Parks and Recreation is preparing for the big Octoberfest Celebration on Saturday Oct. 3 from Noon to 6 p.m. at the Stallion Springs Community Center. Everyone is welcome to join the party for Food, Beer, Wine, Gifts, Kid Friendly Activities, fun for the entire family. No pets allowed.

Vendors will be set up in the Community Center with arts, crafts, and food. Come join the party, FREE Parking and Admission. For more information contact the CSD at (661) 822-3268.

CSD Board of Directors

The Board received a request from Verizon Wireless to place a cell tower in Stallion Springs. The Board tabled the matter after requesting addition information as to location, tower height, and other details of the construction.

The Board also discussed the possible increases for New Development relating to Water Capacity fees, Water and Sewer Connection fees, Driveway Encroachment and Plan Checks and also to establish a Developers Fee for Parks and Recreation. The matter was tabled awaiting further information.

Police Report

Officer James Best received a Citizen Commendation for his sensitivity and empathy during a death investigation in Stallion Springs.

If you have a life threatening Emergency call 911. The Stallion Springs Police Department is dispatched through the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

If you wish to make an appointment to speak with an officer contact the CSD at (661)822-3268. Appointments may be canceled at any time due to limited police staffing.

Upcoming Events

Stallion Springs Board of Directors meet on the third Tuesday of every month. The October meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. at the CSD Board Room.

Neighborhood Watch meetings are on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the CSD/PD Building. Everyone is invited to attend the meetings. You do not have to reside in Stallion Springs to attend. Next regular meeting will be on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

CERT will meet at the Cert Building at the Corner of Stallion Springs & Bold Venture next to the Woodward Center on Oct. 7, at 6 p.m.

Houchin Blood Drives are scheduled at the Community Center on Oct. 31, from 9 to 1p.m. in the CSD parking lot. The recent drive on Sept. 5 had 32 donors make donations.

Trunk or Treat on Oct. 31 at the Community Center.
