Ravens, myths and legends: The paintings of Tina Dille

Lancaster, California - Tina Dille a local Tehachapi artist will exhibit a survey of paintings from the last two years at the Lancaster Museum of Art and History from Sept. 29 - Nov.15, 2015. Gallery hours are 11 - 6 p.m., Tuesday - Sunday, Thursday 11 - 8 p.m. Public Reception will be held Oct.11, from 2 to 4 p.m. Dille's large expressionistic watercolors depict the symbolism Ravens hold in our myths and legends.

A resident of Tehachapi since 2008, Dille's paintings reflect her surroundings and passion for animals and nature. With watercolors, she explores its free flowing qualities to create expressionist paintings that depict more than feathers and fur of the animals. Dille believes that each one of her animal portraits has something to convey, but she invites the viewer to figure that out.

Dille has shown her work extensively in California with exhibitions that include Bakersfield Museum of Art, California Watercolor Society, Linus Gallery, Las Laguna Gallery, MOAH, Cedar Gallery, dACenter for the Arts. Dille is also an artist member of Tehachapi's Gallery n Gifts which is currently displaying her award winning painting "Challenge Yourself ".
