Hollywood Bowl soloist, Paul Stein, to perform in Bear Valley Springs
On Sunday, August 23, at 5 PM, do NOT go to the Hollywood Bowl. Let the Hollywood Bowl come to you through the musical talents of violinist Paul Stein. He will be performing solos and duets at a private home in Bear Valley Springs. Tickets and gate passes are available, but you must call Diana at 661-699-2719 or Jeanette at 661-972-2344. Space is limited, so call early.
Mr. Stein has been a member of the LA Philharmonic for 30 years, but has branched out to include many educational and chamber music venues. He created a group titled Chamber Music Express to introduce various musical genres to children at schools and libraries. Some of the titles of his stories are "Galileo's Metronome" and "The Voyage of the Viola".
Mr. Stein has been on the faculty of a number of colleges, been a soloist for several orchestras and symphonies, taught beginning to advanced violin and viola in his home studio in Monrovia, written stories, and done research for articles published in such publications as Strings Magazine, the American String Teacher, and the California Music Journal. One of the topics for publication is the relationship between music and the mind.
Come to our BVS Cultural Arts Association concert. Limited seating is available, but there will be beverages and appetizers for those who can come. Members $10/Non-members $15. For more information, visit Mr. Stein's website at http://www.chambermusicexpress.com
