Central California Craft Beer Competition

 


Mission Brewery took four gold medals and Best California Beer at the 2015 Central California Craft Beer Competition.

Mission Hefewizen has won Best Beer in California two years in a row in the two year old competition. They also took Best of Class gold medals for Mission Amber, Mission Voyage, El Conquistador Session IPA and a bronze for Shipwrecked.

Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company was rated the 2nd best beer in the all California competition with a silver and best in class gold medal for their Midnight Lighting Imperial Stout. Rounding out the top three California produced craft beers was Bear Republic Brewing Company’s Racer 5 IPA which also received a best of class gold medal.

The competition followed Great American Beer Festival 2015 guidelines with (Beer Judge Certificate Program)BJCP national and certified judges rating the brews. Other winners included a Best in Class gold medal for Honey Wagon Brewery’s No. 2 Brown Ale, Best in Class silver medals went to Duck Foot Brewing Company’s Double White IPA a Hazelnut Porter, Hop Dogma Brewing Company’s Yogi Beer-A and Kern River Brewing Company’s Just Outstanding IPA. Best in Class bronze medals were awarded to Barrel House Brewing Company’s Riesling Blonde, Barrel House Stout and Kern River Brewing Company’s Isabella Blonde.

The next Central California Craft Beer Competition will be held July 16, 2016 and is part of The Tehachapi Mountain Beer and Wine Festival an event that combines camping, beer, wine, great food and music at 4,000 feet in elevation. Visit http://www.Tehachapi Brew.com for more information.
