Tehachapi Friends of NRA holding annual fundraiser

The Tehachapi Friends of NRA have booked the date for their yearly dinner and fundraising event for 2015.

“We will be holding it on Aug. 8 at 5 p.m.,” Co-Chairman of the TFNRA Mike Barrett said. “And we are lucky enough to be holding it, again, at the Benz Corporate office complex here in Tehachapi at 1401 Goddrick Drive.”

As usual the TFNRA will be offering an evening of fun as they hold a live auction, a silent auction, have special drawings and a tasty dinner for 250 of our local 2nd Amendment appreciating friends.

“Dinner and event tickets start at only 50 dollars per person, with package deals for “tables” available as well,” Barrett said.

“The package deals gain the attendees raffle tickets for the silent auction, some for the gun only drawings and some packages even come with guns”, Co-Chairman Dory Kline explained.

In 2014 the funds raised help the NRA Foundation grant over 1 million dollars to the Central California Hunting and Shooting programs.

“And your support helps keep this proud tradition going as we will be applying for some grants to help us hold some training programs for women and youth to be held here locally, “ Kline said.

Attendees can expect to have the opportunity of winning limited edition firearms, custom knives, artwork commissioned by the NRA, special ladies merchandise, hunting trips, local artisans’ creations and other items created especially for this TFNRA event.

“We have a habit of giving away one gun per four people at the event. Are you going to be one of the lucky winners?” Kline asked encouragingly.

Event tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by contacting Mike Barrett at (661) 319-7050, Dory Kline at (661) 200-1215 or Kathleen Kline at (661) 972-9102.
