FREE Concert July 11

Patrick Mitchell has been singing for 38 years and has been impersonating Elvis since he was six years old.

On July 11 he will be bringing his show "Elvis & Others" to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tehachapi. A dinner will be served prior to the show from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by vocals from Tanya, Patrick's fiancée. "Elvis & Others" will be from 7 to 9 p.m. with some of the "others" being Frank Sinatra, Neal Diamond, Bobby Darren and Dean Martin. Admission is free, so come early.

Patrick performed as part of a band called "Mainstream" in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles for over 20 years and has always liked karaoke. It was on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera that he performed his Elvis as a karaoke performance. The cruise director was so impressed that he asked Patrick to be part of a musical legends show. That was the inspiration for "Elvis & Others". Since then Patrick has performed at many events as and Elvis impersonator conventions.

Patrick moved to Tehachapi in 2012 and has been working with Employment Through Adaptation since then. Many will also recognize him from The Shed where he worked for a year bussing tables.

In case you are unable to make his evening performance, Patrick will also be performing as Elvis at the Coy Burnett stadium from 12 – 1:30 p.m. during the July 11 Relay for Life.
