Billingsley Vet Clinic Celebrates Five Years!

Open House 1 to 4pm on Saturday June 6

Wow! It has been five years, five, cinco anos since Dr. Billingsley's veterinary hospital was finished. Over fifteen years ago, Dr. Beverly Billingsley started her practice as an equine only mobile practice; by the way, she still loves driving to ya'lls ranches. In the beginning, there were the occasional barn cats and ranch dogs to care for while working on the horse. Somewhere during the journey, the practice has morphed into a full service "mixed" animal veterinary clinic.

Every day brings a different scenario from the smallest kitten to the 2000 lbs. draft horse and all the varied critters in between. The clinic was constructed with two distinctively different halves, ½ large animals and ½ small animals. In any given week, the chatter of barking, meowing, oinking, bleating and neighing fills the air.

Dr. Beverly could not have done all this without the hard work and efforts of her two daughters, Melissa, RVT-practice manager and Rae, super animal nurse extraordinaire. In addition, we cannot forget the "night shift"; Richard keeps Dr. Billingsley safe and awake during those emergency night calls. Seeing how this is a family business we have kids and grandkids learning the ropes and living the dream. The Billingsley's have called Tehachapi their home for over 26 years! We proudly support many events and charities including Tehachapi Humane Society. Melissa has raised three Canine Companions for Independence service dogs. Our newest puppy- in- training is the adorable "Lilac" make sure to give her a pet when you join us celebrating at our Open House June 6th.
