3rd annual Ride for Life poker run, May 30

Relay for Life is once again sponsoring the 3rd Annual Ride for Life on May 30th. Bikers can sign up in three city locations: in Lancaster at AV Harley; in Bakersfield at Bikersfield, and in Tehachapi at The Shed restaurant. All funds raised will once again help in the fight again cancer with the American Cancer Society programs of research, advocacy and education.

“We’re excited once again to offer this Poker Run ride to our three city locations,” said Mike Pera, one of the event Chairmen. “We have done this for the last two years and we are seeing more sign up each year.”

This year the Poker Run will be approximately 100 miles for all routes.

“We’re changing up some of the route this year to give riders a different ride,” said Trent Pera, the other event Chair. “As a rider we like different routes and locations to make the ride more interesting.”

Route locations will include Bear Mountain Sports; Bear Mountain Pizza (in Arvin); Keene Café; P-Dubs (in Stallion Springs); Mountain Valley Airport (Tehachapi) and Red House BBQ (Tehachapi); Crazy Otto’s (Rosamond), and a few others.

All riders and passengers will receive a lanyard designed specifically for the Ride for Life participants, a fresh BBQ lunch at Redhouse BBQ after the ride, one free ticket for the raffle, and a chance to win a high hand, low hand, or obscure hand – so no matter what your hand is you still have a chance to win. Price is $25 for each rider, and $15 for each passenger; includes one poker hand each.
