Stallion Springs Clean-Up Day

Saturday, May 9 from 8 - Noon in the CSD parking lot. Residents can do their spring cleaning and drop off their items at the CSD for FREE. Easy disposal and recycling. Acceptable bulky items include furniture, shelving, washers, dryers, carpeting, water heaters, and electronic waste, computer monitors, towers, TVs, etc. Items that cannot be accepted are, hazardous waste, construction waste, tires, asphalt, concrete, alkaline batteries, fluorescent tubes or light bulbs.

Bulky item pick-up for senior and disabled adults must call (661) 822-3268 to schedule a pick-up. Shredding will also be available for sensitive documents. Stallion residents, let’s clean up our properties and help make our community beautiful.

Reminder, the deadline to clear your property of weeds is June 15. Due to a mild winter, the drought has continued, and is very serious. If you have questions or need further clarification on clearance requirements, please contact the District office, (661) 822-3268 or the Fire Department, (661) 822-3980. Please do your part in keeping Stallion safe from the threat of fire.

Property Owners Association

Join the POA on May 16, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Stallion Springs Annual Flea Market and Round Up at the Community Center on Stallion Springs Drive. This event is a fundraiser, with the funds going to help with community activities and improvements.

The Flea Market portion will be held in the parking lot. Clean out your garages and turn that unneeded stuff into cash.

The Roundup will be inside the Corral for new and hand crafted items. Summer Snow will be here for those refreshing snow cones for your enjoyment and baked goods from our famous bakers in Stallion Springs will be available for purchase.

The Local 4H club will be onsite with animals and displays showing their activities. 

Applications for space are going fast so don’t be left out. Applications may be picked up at the CSD during regular business hours or call Tonie at (661) 822-6588 to leave a message. Application fees must be paid by May 12 to reserve your spot.

Upcoming events

Saturday, April 25 Hockey Clinic 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Community Center. If you are new to hockey, always wanted to play or just want to brush up on your skills, this is the clinic for you. Come learn some great hockey skills and have some pizza too. Contact the CSD for more information.

Saturday, May 23 Color Run Walk, Come dressed in white and be ready for a rainbow of fun at our annual family friendly 5K. Protective eyewear recommended. Cost: $10 if you register by May 15, and $15 the day of the event. Sign in at 9 a.m., race begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Community Center. All ages welcome. Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs allowed.

Free Skate Night: Every other Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Community Center. Helmets required, no exceptions. Skates and scooters only. No skateboards. The snack bar will be open.

Blood Drives in Stallion Springs in the CSD parking lot, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, July 11, Sept. 5, and Oct. 31.
