It's time to conserve water by drinking beer

Not only beer, but wine, too!

Tehachapi’s premiere beer and wine event The 2015 Beer and Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 18 from 4 til 8 p.m. at the Benz Sports Complex, 20537 Tehachapi Willow Springs Rd. If you thought it was fun last year, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. This event features the largest selection of beers and wine to taste in the area.

Event Organizer, David Brust has added some new and exciting activities. “The buzz around this year’s festival is tremendous and we are excited to be adding 15- 20 wineries to our event”, Brust said. Your ticket includes unlimited beer and wine tasting from numerous breweries and excellent wineries, plus your choice of dinner from one of six restaurants. You can taste over 100 different beers and wines, play games, visit vendors or just relax on your blanket or chair. You can enjoy a hand rolled cigar or dance to the music. “We are working to provide a fun festival environment where people can walk around in bare feet and feel the grass between their toes. They can bring a canopy or umbrella and set up their own space. It definitely will not be a stuffy event”, said Brust. You won’t want to miss the dynamic live music from Therese and The Sweetness and the incredible sounds of Mento Buru, one of the most fun and exciting bands to watch, listen and dance to. They kick the funk like no one else in California.  The styling of their lead man down to their great horn section and awesome percussionists make them a site to see and difficult to resist moving with the rhythm.

Numerous Charitable organizations will benefit from this event including Make A Wish and AYSO Soccer. Also donating time and receiving donations are Kiwanis, Lions Club, Rotary, Boy Scouts and several other worthy organizations.

Tickets are $45 for general admission ($60 at the gate) and $100 for the VIP tickets, which includes a specially designed food experience presented by “The Shed”, drinks in a private area with restrooms.
