Jenie Smith, Joey Stylez, Karen Thomas, Jonna Bowser and Allison Jimenez of HiLightz Salon.
HiLightz Salon is a hidden gem located in back of the RE/MAX shopping center, on the corner of Tucker Rd. and Valley Blvd. in Tehachapi.
Stylist Karen Thomas recently took over as owner of the salon when the original owner, Lois Aldridge, retired. Karen has worked at the salon with Lois for several years, and was excited to take on the challenge.
HiLightz Salon wants everyone to leave feeling good about themselves. With over 80 combined years of experience this salon really knows how to treat their clients for the maximum "salon experience".
Some "team members" are "old faces" while others are new, but all are experienced and eager to brighten your day:
Karen Thomas - "Hello, I am the new owner of HiLightz Salon and I have over 38 years experience as a stylist. I specialize in perms, and shampoo/sets. As the owner my goal is to provide each and every client with a most pleasant experience at an affordable price. We also provide a large selection of professional hair and nail products."
Allison Jimenez - "I have been in the hair industry for nearly 21 years, and I specialize in the latest color and cuts, as well as keratin treatments. I love what I do! Jenie Smith joins the HiLightz team as a very talented manicurist. She is experienced in free-hand nail art, gels, acrylic, and natural nails, and pedicures. Jenie is very creative and loves a challenge.
Jonna Bowser is a certified licensed cosmetology instructor and has recently joined the team. Jonna has over 30 years experience in both skin and hair care. She is well known to several generations as Ms. Bowser (Ms. B) at Lancaster Beauty School.
Joey Stylez is a fresh face to Tehachapi. Joey joined the HiLightz team, bringing hairstyling expertise and a fashionable flair to make anyone look amazing. From clippers to shears and razors, to dimensional, rich color, with your hair's integrity always in mind. You'll love having Joey, "Doll you up!"
