Mary Lenita Clyde, 71, passed away unexpectedly February 10, 2015. She was the daughter of Ralph E. Barker and Dorothy Barker.

Mary graduated from Bakersfield High School and from there embarked on many adventures around the country.

Mary was a bright, artistic and patriotic person and a staunch supporter of the U.S. military. She was qualified to join the "Daughters of the American Revolution", with 17 Revolutionary Patriot ancestors identified.

Mary was a woman of many talents – actually too many to list.

She was an accomplished classical pianist and most recently played at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Mary took great pride in her writing and photography skills over the years, and most recently was a feature writer for The Loop newspaper.

She was exceptional at making machine embroidered items to share with her friends and family. Along with her embroidery she excelled in quilt making, adding her special touch to each one.

Mary is survived by her brother Ralph Barker; her son Allan Nonemaker; her daughter Jamie Nonemaker; grandchildren, Rayleyne, Kylie and Patrick and a great granddaughter, Hayden, as well as numerous close friends.

She also leaves behind her pets Missy, Maggie Mae and Salem who were very special to her.

Mary lived a full and active life, and was a positive influence on most everyone she met and will be sorely missed by those who knew her.

Mary requested there be no service, however she did request if anyone wishes to make a contribution of any kind in her name, please donate to the Tehachapi CANCER FOUNDATION, PO Box 766, Tehachapi, CA 93581 or to the Links for Life, Tehachapi Chapter.

Wood Family Funeral Service was entrusted with her care.
