Update from the Tehachapi Cancer Foundation

Stephanie (Tammy Wallace's daughter) with her friend Kenshawn at the Ugly Sweater Wine Walk on Nov. 29. Stephanie has a picture of her mom on her ugly sweater.

The Tehachapi CANCER FOUNDATION would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the foundation and give you all an update on how these amazing donations are being used.

Through your generous donations we were able put a new set of tires on a patient's car, so she could make it to Bakersfield for her treatments. We were also able to purchase ten gas cards, two Kmart gift cards and five Starbucks gift cards, which were distributed to those in need. In addition, donations have been made to "Links for Life".

We were able to assist Wendy Ozenne with a donation towards her medical expenses. Wendy is still in need of assistance and you can still help by visiting http://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/jhj6/

In addition, we are guiding many people to resources that are not yet available locally.

We are always in need of assistance with items such as co-pays, out-of-town hotel stays, and gas gift cards. We try to maintain a supply of toys and movies to keep little ones occupied during treatments. We also have winter hats, gloves and scarves to help with neuropathy.

Our goal is to continue public awareness of who we are and what we do. If you are dealing with cancer, please contact the Tehachapi CANCER FOUNDATION and let us know your needs and how we can help you.

To the City of Tehachapi, your continued help is essential. Spread the word and let people know that we are available to assist them in their journey with cancer.

Tehachapi CANCER FOUNDATION (TCF) is the creation and dream of Jim and Tammy Wallace. Tammy passed away on Sept. 1 of this year after a courageous battle with cancer.
