Let's Talk Lasagna

Taste of Italian

Many of you know after all these years of eating at La Bella Amore that I'm not Italian – I'm Irish. That said...lasagna was NOT a staple in my diet growing up. In fact I never tasted lasagna until I was about sixteen years old.

Truth is, the only Italian dish I was fed growing up was spaghetti with homemade meat sauce. So yes, I did learn to make a great marinara early on, but that was the extent of my exposure to Italian food until I started dating my first husband.

After we were married I figured I had better learn to make lasagna, since like Garfield, it was my new husband's favorite meal.

And so it happened, and over the years I perfected the lasagna that has been served in my restaurant for almost nine years now. Many say it's the best they've ever tasted.

We start with fresh ground beef and our sweet Italian sausage, rich creamy Italian ricotta cheese, savory Parmesan cheese, buttery delicious whole milk mozzarella cheese, our famous marinara sauce and top quality pasta.

We cook it, we blend it, we layer it, we cover it with cheese and we bake it to perfection.

Before we serve it, we top it with a little more marinara and another handful of mozzarella and let it sit under the broiler till it's perfectly browned and bubbly and sooooooooo delicious.

Hungry yet? Stop by for some delicious lasagna...La Bella style.

Peace and blessings to all. See you soon!
