Tehachapi Treasure Trove first opened on Mountain Fest Weekend, August 2012 after two months hard preparation. Sandy Thoman, Mel White, Janet Meabon and Susanna Monette were the initial founders of the store. Sandy left at the end of 2012 due to health reasons. Janet, Mel and Susanna continued to oversee the ever changing ever growing Treasure Trove from January 2013 to the present.

Janet has played an important role in the creation and growth of the Treasure Trove. As an artist, she makes beautiful pieces out of polymer clay and other materials. Her work ranges from jewelry to wall hangings and sculptures. She has also supplied many scrap booking items to fill in the gap left by the closure of Picture Perfect. Janet has opted to be released from her role as partner effective August 1, 2014. She will be missed but will still have a presence in the store.

Dawn Callahan has been a vendor and teacher at the Treasure Trove since shortly after the store opened. Dawn creates unique jewelry and teaches basic jewelry design and techniques.

Dawn's husband, Steve Headrick, has assisted Dawn with some of the metal work that is used in her jewelry designs. Steve has also helped with many repairs and tasks at the store. Together they created Mountain Hookers using recycled shoes mounted on a plaque to use as a coat hook. Dawn and Steve have collectables at the Trove as well. They will be a welcome addition to the management team.
