The Who's Who of '110 In The Shade'

The casting call for "110 In The Shade" was announced in February 2014 for a show that will be performed in June. Like every director you are filled with hope, anticipation, excitement and fear.

Fear!

Yes fear, the fear of who will show up, or should I say, "Will anyone show up" So, do you want to know if anyone showed up? Oh yes they did!

I would like to introduce to you the principal players of TCT's summer musical "110 In The Shade"

Opal Lawler: Lizzie Curry

– Lizzie is a simple, sweet and plain woman that has been looking for love for a long time. Her father and brothers have all but given up on the idea that Lizzie well ever get married. Opal has a very natural and real approach to the character Lizzie. Her soft sweet voice and tough exterior give you the sense that Lizzie can take care of herself.

Guy Martin : Starbuck

– Starbuck is charismatic, full of adventure and finds himself in a small town selling the idea of being able to make it rain to t he Curry family. Little does Lizzie know, Starbuck has eyes for her. Guy brings Starbuck to life with his beautiful and powerful singing and his energetic and fun filled performance.

Kenny Chugg: HC

– HC is Lizzie's father and he loves his daughter. T here isn't anything HC won't do to get his daughter married. But to Starbuck? Well, Starbuck may not be HC first choice, but if it means his daughter will be cared for and loved, well he's willing to take that chance. Kenny Chugg not only brings to the TCT stage his acting experience, but the vulnerability and likeability in his character HC.

Spencer James: Noah Curry

– The oldest brother in the Curry family. Noah thinks he not only runs the family ranch, but the family to. He loves his sister but you'd never really know it, because he seems to always be the voice of reason and practicality. Spencer James is a creative and exciting actor to watch. Most people will know Spencer from his comedic acting roles, but this time Spencer is taking on "NOAH"a character that is ridged, angry and carries the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Kasey Brockelsby: - Jimmy Curry

– Jimmy is the youngest of the Curry family and although the most fun and loving not the brightest. But his heart is pure and his innocence refreshing. Kasey Brockelsby is infectious as Jimmy. His energetic, youthful presence gives the cast that burst of fun and will bring a smile to the audiences faces each time he takes the stage

Heather Simmons : Snookie Updegraf

From the left are Kasey Brockelsby, Elmer Acevedo, Spencer James and Heather Simmons seated in center. They are rehearsing the very fund and upbeat song, "little Red Hat." which will be performed during the production of 10 in The Sahde.art of the cast rehearsing for the upcoming production. – Snookie is Jimmy Curry's girlfriend. She is cute, silly, charming and the perfect girl for Jimmy. Heather Simmons brings a wonderful charm and infectious character to life in Snookie. You may have seen Heather in many of TCT's productions, but you haven't seen her as the high pitched, animated Snookie Updegraph. What a treat!

Thaer Irvin: File

– File is the sheriff of the town and believes that the law is the law no matter what. File's wife left him, and he hasn't been able to accept that failure in his life. File for awhile now has had a fondness for Lizzie. But he's having trouble letting her know. Only when he sees the local con man Starbuck begin to take an interest in Lizzie does File realize he may lose her to.

"110 In The Shade" opens June 6, and tickets are going fast. This summer musical will have you stomping your feet and raising your hands for more.

If anyone could bring rain to a dry town, Starbuck with this very talented cast of characters I believe could.
