Advice From Tehachapi Lawn and Garden

Hopefully by press time we will have had some rain. That means the weeds and grass will grow this Spring. Around the end of March or early April we start getting busy with equipment repairs and service. If you have any equipment that needs service please bring it in before the end of March and take advantage of the winter rates. You will also get your equipment back faster.

Remember not to keep fuel in your equipment for more than 30 days if you have not used an ethanol additive. Water in the fuel and clogged fuel systems are the most frequent cause of engine problems. This is due to the 10% ethanol in the fuel we buy. Using a good ethanol additive will keep your fuel useable for 4 to 6 months. Remember that the fuel in cans in the storage shed goes bad also.

A big part of our business is supplying our D.I.Y. customers with parts. It is impossible to keep every part in our store but we have most common parts available. We are always glad to order any parts that you may need.

Enjoy the rain, but don't forget to have your equipment serviced.

I still hear talk of Tehachapi Lawn and Garden Equipment closing. We are for sale but have no plans to close. The good people of our area need an equipment repair and service center to help keep their equipment running.
