The Supervisors chamber accommodated 258 of the 1,100 people who came to voice concerns or support for the government oil industry initiatives; the others watched the proceedings on video in overflow rooms on the second and third floors of the Kern County administration building. Twelve Sheriffs deputies were on hand for security.
