On Friday evening Dec. 14, as part of Wreaths Across America, retired military and members of the public gathered at Freedom Plaza to place wreaths at the base of each of the military monuments. One member from each branch of the military was on hand to place the appropriate wreath. Local Wreaths Across America organizer Jim Jacobs acted as Master of Ceremonies. Wreaths were placed at the Westside and Eastside Cemeteries on Dec. 15.
