Foster Artists, a 501(c)3 organization, represents artists over 18 who have been in the Foster Care system. We offer the individual a means to showcase their art and receive reward payments. Foster Artists is having our Debut Art Show in this fabulously artistic town on Saturday, May 19 from 6-9 p.m. The show will be located at the newly renovated Slice of Life Enrichment School and Event Venue at 48771 West Valley Blvd., Tehachapi.
Foster Artists debut show will be featuring art from the streets of Compton to Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills. The Main Room tickets are $20 and the VIP Lounge (wine tasting, artist's hangout, exclusive art) are $40.
There will be a live auction to benefit and support adult foster artists who have previously gone through the foster care system and a raffle to showcase many of the creative and artistic local businesses of Tehachapi. Among our raffle supporters are Slice of Life Enrichment School offering Little Sprouts Art Classes, TehachaPie donating a delicious pie, and Tehachapi's famous clothing designer, Nannette Keller, offering her exclusive fashion wear. Thank you Tehachapi for your positive response!
In addition to the beautiful auction art you will see on the walls, we will also have artist vendors such as Fatuma from Lancaster, selling African apparel and accessories. Local musicians Rozell, playing African Jazz, and Jim Peck, playing saxophone, will further entertain us while Big Papa's Steakhouse and Steampunk Café feature their creative tastings for our enjoyment. The exquisite wines exclusive to the VIP room will come from the Boisset Collection featuring wines from DeLoach, Buena Vista, Raymond Vineyards and JCB.
Foster Artists has a nationwide trademark and a vision is to go from city to city throughout the United States selling art while bringing fun and classy events to artistic communities for everyone to enjoy.
