2018 Wine Pairing Dinner fundraiser

Rotary Club of Tehachapi

The Rotary Club of Tehachapi announces their 2018 Wine Pairing Dinner fundraiser which will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27 at The Shed. This year the wines of Minassian Young Vineyard (MYV) will be featured. Our extremely talented local Chef, Mano Lujan will be designing a 4 course dinner to compliment and exquisitely pair with each of the different wines. The cuisine that Mano prepares is a gourmet extravagance which he creates after tasting each wine.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a soft yet delicious Rose during a period of social get together. As we progress an appetizer, soup, entrée and dessert will be served with a variety of Minassian Young Wines which will stimulate and enhance the flavor of the food while honoring the taste and aroma of the wines.

Minassian Young Vineyards is atop one of the characteristic rolling hills of West Paso Robles. Open since 2005 and owned by husband and wife team David and Amparo Young, MYV wines have earned high points from Wine Enthusiast and other publications. The owners stated "Our winemaking philosophy is to produce wines in a consistent manner, where the differences between vintages arise only from variables we cannot control such as temperature and rainfall. In addition, most wines are produced without blending fruit from multiple vineyards. This minimalist approach ensures that every vintage is representative of the terroir for each vineyard."

Reviews for the wines at MYV are glowing. The tasting room is off the beaten path but it is a scenic ride with several other wineries on the way and well worth the trip.

Tickets for the Rotary Wine Pairing Dinner are $80 each or two for $150. They can be purchased through Rotarians or call Linda Carhart at (818) 519-7144. Christmas is around the corner. The promise of a fantastic evening with your guy or gal would be a great gift.
