Tehachapi's Annual Christmas Parade

Murray Family Farms Christmas float also took a first place award.

On the evening of Saturday, Dec. 2, the community showed up to Downtown Tehachapi to enjoy the 17th Annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting, hosted by the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce. This year's theme was "twas the night before Christmas".

Girl Scouts of America at this year's Christmas Parade won a first place award.

The first-place awards in various categories were the Tehachapi High School Band; Girl Scouts of Tehachapi; Murray Family Farms; Mountain Bible Church; Sikh Riders of America; Miss Tehachapi Pageant; Mojave River Academy; Diamonds in the Rough Equestrian Drill Team; and Silver Paw Ranch. The judges' overall favorite award went to Tehachapi Pest Control. After the parade, the crowd moved over to the Tehachapi Depot Railroad Museum to celebrate the Tree Lighting with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
