On a beautiful Saturday evening, the Tehachapi Gandy Dancers Square Dance Club hosted their October Harvest and Anniversary Dance to 36 square and round dancers. Dancers representing the Mountain Squares at Frazier Park, the Joaquin Squares of Bakersfield, the Bakersfield Rounders, the Aces & Deuces of Palmdale, and our own Tehachapi Gandy Dancers came together to enjoy a night of dancing and camaraderie along with celebrating the Gandy Dancers 39th anniversary as a square dance club.

Dick Hodnefeld graced us with outstanding calls and good humor throughout the night. Square dancers danced to a variety of music from several genres and eras. The music was awesome!

Gary and Susan McLaughlin provided a wonderful rendition of cueing waltzes for the round dances to sounds from the 1960s and 1970s; leading dancers through some smooth footwork and graceful moves along with some dance calls that are of a faster pace than normal.

The next event hosted by the Tehachapi Gandy Dancers is the "Winter Wonderland Dance" at the Tehachapi SENIOR CENTER at 500 East F Street on Jan. 27, 2018. Michael Kellogg will be calling; Darrell Beck will provide the cues. Come out and join us!
