Adventist Health's President named to 60 Critical Access CEOs to know list

Jeff Lingerfelt, President of Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley, has once again been named to Becker's Healthcare 60 Critical Access CEOs to Know list.

According to Becker's, the men and women included on this list are at the helm of organizations regularly recognized for safety and quality. Many led their hospitals through expansions, mergers and Electronic Health Records (EHR) implementations.

The individuals on this list are also key members of their communities, serving on corporate boards and state-level initiatives to improve access to care. This list highlights individuals who lead the hospitals featured on the Becker's Healthcare 60 Critical Access Hospitals to Know list, published in July.

Lingerfelt was recognized for his tenure as CEO of Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo, IL, his former position before arriving to AHTV in August. The North Carolina native is also a past CEO of Rugby, N.D.-based Heart of America Medical Center, where he was recognized as the Outstanding Healthcare Professional of the Year in 2015 by Grand Forks-based University of North Dakota.

Although honored to be recognized for a second time by Becker's, Lingerfelt emphasized that the award is representative of the diligence and excellence of the staff at Hammond-Henry. He added that he is even more honored to now lead healthcare efforts in the Tehachapi Valley.

"Receiving awards is nice, but they would absolutely not be possible without the high level of quality work from the teams I've been fortunate to lead," Lingerfelt said. "I look forward to continuing to work with the dedicated, compassionate staff at Adventist Health and bringing a state-of-the-art, 25-bed, critical-access hospital to this community. We continue to work diligently on this project, which we know will make a lasting and positive impact here."
