A visit to Souza Family Vineyard on Sept. 17

BVS Cultural Arts Presents

Close out the Summer of 2017 by coming to the Souza Family Vineyard for an afternoon of information, wine and cheese and some music by local musicians, Mountain Pass. The fun people of Tehachapi will be gathering at the Vineyard in Cummings Valley. Follow the signs West on Cummings Valley Road. It becomes a dirt road, but keep driving. When you see the beautiful Stowell Estate, you are almost there. Make sure you take a look at the Estate, as the Souzas were the ones who refurbished the property and its buildings.

At 3:30 p.m. Bob Souza will give us an informational talk about the Souza Vineyards and the award winning wines that they have grown there. The Primitivo Zinfandel Wine has won awards that range through the various medal 'metals'; bronze, silver, and gold.

Next, we will decide if we want to taste some of the many wines they offer, by ordering a 'tasting sequence'. You pick a few different tastes, rather than a regular glass of one wine (cost approximately $10). You may also choose a glass of a single wine (prices vary). There is a cheese plate available (cost $18) for 1-4 people, so you can share with your good friends. We'll gather on the patio to enjoy our tasty nosh and listen to the lilting sounds of the band, Mountain Pass.

I think it will be a really lovely cusp of Autumn kind of day to spend relaxing with good friends, good food, and good music. Join us by letting Jeanette know, so we will have enough food available. Her number is (661) 972-2344. Hope to see you there.
