Tehachapi Little League Softball Championships

Tehachapi's own 10-12 year old Little League softball girls place 3rd in the State of California Southern Softball Championship. Thirteen 10-12 year old Tehachapi girls made local Little League history with a third place finish in the State of California Southern Softball Championship in Hesperia, CA. June and July of this year, the team progressed farther into the Championship tournaments than any other team in Tehachapi history.

Success started with a 2-1 win in a District 51 Championship game that was in Lancaster, CA. This game required 3 extra innings to decide the winners, which propelled them to the Section 2 Championship in San Marino, Ca. There they favored over the San Marino home team 6-3. That sectional win guaranteed their entry into the State Championship Tournament.

The team fought to a third place tournament finish with a 4-2 loss to eventual tournament champion, Westchester Del Rey. Congratulations to the team and their coaches for a job well done.

The team and coaches wish to thank all their supporters, parents and sponsor (RST CRANES) throughout the season. Our success wouldn't have been possible without them.
