This will be the seventh year for Tehachapi's National Night Out. Again, Tehachapi Police Department and the Tehachapi Police Foundation are partnering to bring demonstrations, education, tours of equipment and much more to the community.

National Night Out is held annually across the United States to show support for law enforcement, first responders and spreading the word on safety at home, in school and around the neighbrohood. The event is free and all are welcome! The location is Philip Marx Central Park on East E Street and the hours are 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Bring the family, check out the booths, grab a hotdog and much more. At 8 p.m., Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District will gather us all together for a one-mile glow walk around downtown Tehachapi in support of law enforcement. Once we return to the park, throw out your blanket and enjoy a movie in the park.

Space is still available for nonprofits and agencies to have a booth. If interested, please contact Kim Nixon at (661) 619-5123.

(Bear Valley Springs and Stallion Springs also host National Night Out).
