Sheridan's is on the move once again

Sheridan's is on the move once again. Just a few months ago, Sheridan's Annex moved to Mill Street.

Then a second Tehachapi Blvd. location became available, due to the retirement of Trains Etc. owners Ed & Linda Gordon. Located just a few doors down from the original Sheridan's Boutique Home Consignment, the new sister store will showcase different and unique items crafted with the same great quality you have come to expect from Sheridan's.

Virginia Sheridan and her husband William Lee have remodeled the storefront with huge new display windows and removed the old barn siding, painting it to match the original Sheridan's and creating an attractive "bookend" effect with Kelcy's Restaurant in the middle. They have also opened up the interior, creating a bright, inviting atmosphere.

The new store features modern, antique and new designer furniture and home decor, as well as unusual items from Virginia's hand-picked vendors. Steven & Lillian Jones' steampunk and industrial lighting, recently featured at a First Friday Art Walk, are one . American Indian baskets, garden art, locally made signs and Harry Rotz' original "found" art add to the selections. Old-timers will celebrate the return of "The Collector's Eye", Merrily Flanagan's beautiful vintage jewelry formerly available at Mountain Antiques. Art, jewelry and rugs from around the world are found throughout the store. A vintage kitchen area is attractively laid out in Sheridan's signature style.

A special addition, prominently displayed in a front window, is "STOP STARING!", a vintage inspired clothing line created by Alicia Estrada. Her designs have been seen on such celebrities as Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Susan Sarandon.

Owner Virginia and her husband Bill have remodeled a number of historic buildings in the Downtown Tehachapi area. They are both very excited about this latest improvement to the look of our downtown, and the chance to offer something new and exciting for the town. All are invited to the Grand Opening July 13 at 4 p.m. during Farmer's Market.

All are invited to the Grand Opening at 114 W Tehachapi Blvd. on July 13 at 4 p.m. during Farmer's Market.
