Souza Family Vineyard wins two new medals

 

Souza Family Vineyard just received confirmation that they have won two new medals in the Los Angeles International Wine Competition for 2017. They are so proud and excited to put Tehachapi in the news by competing internationally and walking away with two new awards. Their 2010 Tehachapi Wine & Cattle Co. Primitivo won a Bronze Medal and their 2011 Tehachapi Wine & Cattle Co. Primitivo won a Silver. To date Souza Family Vineyard has been winning awards starting with their First Crush in 2005 and continuing to the present, making for a total of ten Medals. "What an Honor to represent the community!" said Patty Souza.

Here is the letter the vineyard received from L.A. International regarding their newest achievement.

"Congratulations on your great success! You have received 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal Award.

The 2017 Los Angeles International Wine Competition received 3,002 wines from 991 producers. There were a total of 177 Best of Class Awards, 661 Gold Medal Awards, 1,248 Silver Medal Awards and 670 Bronze Medal Awards. The competition received wines from 17 countries; Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Ukraine and the United States of America."
