2017 China Lake Airshow celebrated 75 years of Naval Weapons testing at this year's airshow. It was an excitign event beginning with the U.S. Army Black Daggers, who made a grand entrance with their parachute display, flying the American flag in all of its old glory! Then the local VX-9 Vampires squadron performed a display in two F/A-18 Super Hornets. In addition, there were displays by World War II Spitfire and F8F Bearcat. Jacquie B flying in the Extra 300 series monoplane performed aerobatic feats, celebrating her 50th year of flight. The entire show was capped off with a dramatic flying demonstration by the famous Blue Angels, pushing their F/A-18 Hornets to the limit. The Blue Angels are stationed at Forrest Sherman Field, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. A great show!
