What's Up in Stallion Springs?

 

Jon Curry joins Stallion Springs as the new General Manager.

Stallion Springs welcomes Jon Curry as the new General Manager, for the District. He comes to Stallion with extensive experience having previously worked with the Alpine Forest Park Mutual Water District, California Rural Water Association and the Golden Hills CSD in addition to having worked the past nine years as Public Works Director for the City of Tehachapi. Jon also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Rural Water Association and holds several certifications in water treatment and distribution.

Stallion is happy to have Jon join our team.

Police report

During the month of January the Stallion Springs Police Department had 53 calls for service and completed 18 want and warrant checks. The department had 47 reports, four call outs, 39 officer initiated investigations, 12 field interviews and five medical assists. There were two arrests and four citations were issued. The CSU completed 65 vacation house checks, 12 infrastructure checks, 6 school bus watches and 4 other requested activities.

In the event of a life threatening Emergency call 911. The Stallion Springs Police Department is dispatched through the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

You may contact us by email or using the contact information provided on the CSD web site, If you wish to make an appointment to speak with an officer contact the CSD at 822-3268. Appointments maybe canceled at any time due to limited police staffing.

New website

The Stallion Springs CSD has a new website as of Feb. 15, 2017. The new site is http://www.stallionspringscsd.com. Please be sure to go to this site for the latest Stallion news and information. You can also pay water bills on line, report CC&R violations, municipal code violations, and road issues at this site.

CERT Upcoming Events

Cheers to Charity, Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017. Mary Beth Garrison has again asked SSCERT to assist with this event to be held at the Tehachapi Airport.  SSCERT will assist with parking and whatever else is needed. This is a great training opportunity for us as well as a fund-raising activity.  

GranFondo, Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017.  This is an amazing drill for so many agencies, CERTs, Police Departments, Kern County Fire Department, Kern County Sheriff's Department and more.  CERT hopes members will be available to assist with this huge event.

Stallion Springs Board of Directors.

Meet on the third Tuesday of every month. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 21, at 6 p.m. at the CSD Board Room.

Stallion Springs Library

The Stallion Springs library has changed its hours. It is now open on Monday nights from 5 to 8 p.m. Come and check it out.

The Library is still looking for volunteers to work on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to noon or noon to 2 p.m.  Also Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m.  You can contact Emma Holm at (661) 822-1385 or by email at mholm16@yahoo.com.
