Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Welcomes Pastor Kenneth Burton

Meet the Burton family.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church welcomes their new Pastor, Kenneth Burton III. Pastor Burton was born in Okinawa where his dad served in the US Air Force. The family moved to Panama City, Florida, where he grew up. He met his wife, Terry, a former school teacher from Minnesota, in church. They were married in 1991. They recently celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. They have been blessed with six children: Talia, Kenneth IV, Caleb, Cody (deceased), Taylor and Colin. The children have been home schooled by Terry and Pastor Ken.

Following his graduation from Florida State, he attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, and became a minister.

Pastor Burton served ten years as pastor in Arkansas. Most recently he had been Pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Borger, Texas, the past seven years. His hobbies are: most importantly, golf, hunting and fishing.

The family is in the process of selling their home in Texas and making the move to Tehachapi. They look forward to knowing the people and area of Tehachapi.
