Farewell to Pacino's Restaurant

Nick Smirnoff NPPA

I have been walking through the front doors of Pacino's for the last seven years. I'm proud to have been part of the restaurant and thankful to have been able to do a job I so loved.

I have met so many wonderful people from all over the world, from other states, from surrounding cities, and from right here in Tehachapi. Thank you for choosing Pacino's!

To all my regulars, thanks for the friendships and laughs we had throughout the years. You made my job fun: Buzz - S.P.S.S, Tom and Nancy G-6, Honey and Daniel, Wheels, Paula and the #1 Trap Shooters. Jennifer Williams, we were your other office. And even, "Oh No, It's Bill!"

To all the members of the Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi: You all do so much for this community, keep up the good work. Thank you for allowing me to stand with you and say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing "God bless America". Thank you to Eve for the joke of the day, and to Nick for the hug of the day.

To Susie and the Airstreams crew, thank you for a room full of great guys. To Tom, Vincent and the Edison crew: I'll bring a canoe. Jeff, Scott, and the Diversified Utility crew: I now know what F.T.W means – I think. To Jacob from Jordanos, thank you for going the extra mile.

There are so many more to thank, the list is so long. For everyone else, thank you for being a fan!

To Chris and Caroline: You are amazing bosses!

Owners and staff of the newly closed Pacino's restaurant, got together to celebrate their happy memories of working together.

Thank you for allowing my family to be part of Pacino's and to feel at home. Thank you for everything! Boss: I will miss bossing the boss around.

To all the Pacino's crew: Great job! It's been a pleasure to have worked with such an awesome crew. Manny and Jose, thank you very much for the Spanish lessons and lunch. I will miss all of you.

Monday, July 25 was the last time I walked through the doors of Pacino's as a server. When my shift was over, the doors were locked and, I'm very sad to say, the show was over. We were closed.

I will miss the restaurant for so many reasons, including having the best pizza in town (I'm not getting paid to say this).

As the curtain closes, I will stand and take a curtsy and thank you all. We all hate when a good movie ends, and this one left me with a tear.

Sincerely, Shawn

Server from Pacino's
