TSP Awards $8,000 for Scholarships in 2016

 


Tehachapi Society of Pilots (TSP) Scholarships has awarded $8,000 total in scholarships to three students in the Tehachapi area. Two academic scholarships were awarded to assist high school graduates in their quest for college degrees in aviation or engineering fields. For the first time, in 2016 a flying scholarship has also been awarded to provide flying training for an aspiring young pilot working towards their Private Pilot rating. Congratulations to scholarship recipients.

TSP, a chapter of the California Pilots Association, is an organization operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The TSP promotes aviation in the city of Tehachapi, California and throughout the Kern County and Antelope Valley region. TSP provides programs and conducts activities to educate students and concerned citizens and exchanges views with City and County officials concerning the safety and economic value of the Tehachapi Municipal Airport and other Kern County Airports as a vital part of California’s air transportation system.
