Lions Help with Erskine Fire relief

Lions Club of Tehachapi

Members of the Tehachapi Lions Club joined forces with other District 4-L1 Lions to volunteer their services on July 2 to those affected by the Erskine Fire.

District 4-L1 received a $10,000 Emergency Grant from the Lions Club International Foundation which provides immediate relief assistance (food, water, shelter, clothing, etc.) to victims of natural disasters through the service works programs of Lions Clubs worldwide.

The Tehachapi Lions also donated twelve pop-up tents and tarps of various sizes which they purchased at Big 5 Sporting Goods in Tehachapi, 20 camping chairs which were purchased at Kmart in Tehachapi, and they delivered two bails of brown paper grocery sacks which were kindly donated by Save Mart of Tehachapi so that items can be bagged up at donation sites for the victims of the fire.

The Lions would like to thank Fred at Big 5 Sporting Goods, Bob at Kmart and Sandra and Rob at Save Mart for your generous discounts and donations. On behalf of those who will benefit from your generosity, please accept our deepest appreciation.
