St Vincent de Paul St. Malachy Conference for many years has provided those in need with food, rent, utilities financial assistance, clothing vouchers, bus tickets, and referral service contacts. In 2015 we served the needs of 3300 clients.
Recently we started a program designed to assist students that plan on furthering their education with financial assistance as well as providing them with resources they may not be aware of. Our ability to do this is through the generous support of the members of St. Malachy Church and other citizens of Tehachapi.
We are a SOle nonprofit Corporation comprised of 27 dedicated non paid volunteers and derive no governmental funding and are open to all faiths. There is always a need for new members or just volunteers to dedicate a few hours each month helping distribute food. You will come away with a great feeling knowing you helped someone less fortunate rest assured. While the St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store does a worthwhile service in town, we are not connected.
