The Tehachapi Gandy Dancers Square Dance Club held a graduation ceremony honoring five students on May 18 2016. The graduates receiving diplomas from the College of Do Sa Dos and Allemande Lefts were Carolyn Scott, Marvin Seibel, Craig Swarens, Debbie Swarens, and Shirley Farrant (in absentia).
Linda Carmichael, President of the Tehachapi Gandy Dancers, presided over the ceremony. Jean Schwynoch, Co-President representing the Kern County Chapter of the United Square Dancers of America (USDA) presented each student with a certificate of graduation. The Gandy Dancers are members in the Kern County Chapter of the USDA.
If you are interested in having some fun while learning to square dance, the next class is scheduled to begin 7 September 2016. Announcements will come out in August. Come out meet your neighbors and make new friends.
