Caltrans installed an audible alert system at the intersection of Tucker Road and Valley Blvd/202. This instrument is designed to alert a visually challenged person when it is safe to cross the intersection. An audible signal is sent to alert the pedestrian of the proper phasing to cross who might not be able to see the visual signal otherwise.
