California City clinic is big success

On Saturday, April 25 Have a Heart Humane Society and Supervisor Zack Scrivner combined funding to hold a spay/neuter clinic in California City.

Dr. Willis, owner of San Joaquin Vet Hospital in Bakersfield, brought his mobile to the Strata Center and performed 37 cat and dog spays and neuters.

Have a Heart volunteers tended recuperating pets, checked clients in and gave dozens of vaccinations at the vaccination clinic.

Cal City’s Mayor and animal control staff were instrumental in providing a great venue beautifully set up and all the necessary equipment and woman power that helped make this yet another successful clinic for Kern County residents. In addition, Have a Heart wrote 18 spay/neuter vouchers for the Rosamond Animal Hospital. These vouchers were provided by Supervisor Scrivner.
