Local author book signing, Feb. 23

Local author, Kay Bryant, has released a book written for girls ages 6-11, similar to the format of the American Doll books. “Kathryn, A Missouri Girl” is based on the life and adventures of a girl named Kathryn, growing up in the 1920’s in a Midwestern farming community. She tells you firsthand about her life from ages six to ten. The events and the people are real and will come alive for you as Kathryn sheds much light on what life was like during the early 1920s. You see life when it was simpler, full of little joys, and get a glimpse of school life through one of her diaries.

The author, Kay Bryant, is Kathryn’s daughter. She and her husband, John, have lived in the Tehachapi area for 11 years. Kay was an educator for thirty-two years with both a B.S. and an M.S. Degrees in Education and an additional degree in English As A Second Language. She has taught at the elementary and college level, traveled throughout the U.S. as an ESL Teacher Trainer, and was Director of a Berlitz Language Center.

Don’t miss Kay’s book signing on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Tehachapi Christian Store, 108 E. Tehachapi Blvd.
