Do you have a dog or a cat that needs to be spayed or neutered? How would you like to pay just $20 or $25 instead of $150 or more?
Have a Heart Humane Society is one of 38 non-profits chosen from a nation-wide pool to participate in the eBay Giving Works Campaign For Your Cause program. The pet rescue's goal is to raise $10,000 for the Tehachapi FIX YOUR PET PROJECT through an eBay auction, which will run from Oct. 22-29 on eBay.
The more items we sell, the more money we have to put toward spaying and/or neutering pets owned by Tehachapi residents. Our goal is to, once again, offer a clinic where the pet owner pays no more than $20 for a cat, and $25 for a dog, including a rabies vaccination and a pain shot.
We are the only pet rescue in Tehachapi providing these clinics without using county and/or taxpayer money. We believe that rescuing animals and finding them new homes is not enough. The only way to stop the constant stream of strays, abandoned and neglected pets is to reduce the number of unwanted pets through spaying and neutering.
"We've already received some amazing things to auction off," says Chelley Kitzmiller, Have a Heart's director. Auction items are available for viewing on Pinterest (www.pinterest.com/HaHeartHS/) until the auction begins. Some items will be bundled, such as the "dog package", the "beauty shop package", etc.
We have more than 75 auction items ranging in value from $25 to $2,000.
