Renaissance Festival & Model Train Show

Fast becoming one of the most anticipated outdoor events in the greater Antelope Valley, the Renaissance Festival will be held this year on Oct 18 and 19 at California City's Central Park. Fine performances include a world-class juggler, belly dancers, a live Irish band, singers and a magician. Hearty food, drink and original and unique merchandise can be found in abundance. Featured this year in the neighboring Strata Center is a traveling Model Train Show that is sure to delight children of all ages.

The Renaissance Festival and Model Train Show, sponsored by the California City Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the California City Arts Commission, will be open Saturday, Oct. 18 from 11 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 19 from 11 to 5 p.m. Admission for the Festival and Train Show is $5 for adults. Children 5 and under are free. Sunday at 4 p.m. there will be a Queen's High Tea. Admission to the tea is $5 for adults and $3 for children 8 and under.

The Festival and Train show are located in Central Park at 10460 Heather Avenue in California City. From California City Boulevard follow the signs, south on Conklin and west on Heather. The park is located at the west end of Heather Avenue.

Come join the fun and visit the world as it was in the 1600s. Fun games and events for the children. Visit the King's Court, Black Smith, Children's Theater, Tavern and don't miss the Model Train Show. Fun for the whole family.
